T-34 Racing Home Page

The T-34 Racing Home Page has been created to provide T-34 CD's and racers a place to post racing rules, discuss issues and ideas and post results.  The links to each section are provided below.  The T-34 Racing Blog can be used to communicate with the CD and other racers, just as you would use a blog.

THE AIRCRAFT

  1. The plane must be a World Models T-34 with no aerodynamic modifications.
  2. For safety purposes the control horns on the ailerons, elevators and rudder can be changed along with stronger push rods.(These are the only acceptable changes to the aicraft).
  3. Pilot figures included in the kit are optional.
  4. It is recommended that you put some kind of I.D. markings on your plane to help caller and judges.

THE ENGINE

  1. Any 46 size or smaller engine may be used, cost not to exceed $200.00. Must be stock out of the box. No modifications allowed.
  2. Must use stock muffler for that particular engine. Baffle can be removed but does not have to be.
  3. Any Prop of your choice may be used.
  4. No fuel with a greater amount than 15% nitro is allowed.

THE RACE

  1. The start will be a racehorse start from the runway. Take-off positions will be rotated.
  2. Engines will be started on the starting tables and carried out to the starting line by the callers. Max of 90 seconds to start engines before flag will be dropped. Flag may be dropped before that if all planes are running.
  3. Each person that jumps the start will be required to run 1 extra lap.
  4. Each race will be 10 laps with 4 planes in each race.

RACE RULES

  1. Pilot and caller must wear a hard hat during races. No exceptions.
  2. Current AMA card must be available in order to participate in the race.
  3. Modifications to aircraft, engine or exhaust system will result in disqualification. If it isn’t stock, well, you can hang around and watch the races.

ANY PROBLEMS OR QUESTIONS DURING THE EVENT WILL BE ADDRESSED BY THE C.D.’s AND THEIR DECISION IS FINAL.
