Diablo Valley Radio Controllers (DVRC) is Northern California's premier R/C flying club in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Our flying site is located in the city of Pittsburg, CA.  We are sanctioned by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA – our insurance provider).  To become a DVRC member, you must be a current Full Adult member of the AMA and submit an application for membership to the club

Club Membership Period

New members are assessed one-time fees of $120 for the Field Fund plus the $84 annual dues which is pro-rated based on the number of months remaining in the year. There are no fees for Associate Members; who are either minor children, under 21 residing in the same household as member, spouse of a member or Grandchild (under 21) of a member.

Current member registration is open from 1 October through 31 December. Dues are $84 for the coming year. If you renew after 31 December, the “Late Fee” is $20 and must be added to the regular dues, regardless of when it is paid in the renewal year. DVRC does not have an installment payment plan.

Previous members who have not paid dues for a year or more; do not have to pay the Field Fun Fee again and are not subject to pay the Late Fee. The dues are pro-rated based on the number of months remaining in the year. They must inform the Treasurer of the year of their previous membership and provide a current AMA Membership card.

DVRC distributes meeting notices, event notices, special information and newsletters via E-mail. If you do not have a working E-mail address you will miss important club information.

All DVRC members with flying privileges or their quest who will be operating aircraft at the DVRC field are required to have current AMA membership. In addition, all DVRC members flying “Solo” are required to have a yellow flight badge displayed at all times.

Membership cards and gate lock combinations for the club will not be issued and applications for membership will not be processed without current AMA membership validation.
